Headstart Hatching began operations in January 2024 with the goal to showcase new technology, create systems to efficiently hatch the highest quality poults in the world, while also engaging in continuous research around future opportunities. Headstart is a state-of-the-art hatchery and the first in the industry to utilize Next Nest technology that provides immediate feed, water and light for newly hatched poults. The 110,000 square foot facility has the ability to set 45 million eggs per year and utilizes automated Viscon equipment and the first turkey live embryo detection system. Our sister company, Next Nest Hatching, offers what we learn to the remainder of the industry, but we at Headstart set the pace.
